Minnesota Wild GM Bill Guerin under investigation for allegedly covering up a 2018 sexual assault
Less than one year after the Chicago Blackhawks have come under fire for allegedly covering up a sexual assault, Minnesota Wild GM Bill Guerin is under investigation by the U.S. Center for SafeSports after a former employee allegedly sexually assaulted a colleague's wife while Guerin was with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization.

The incident is said to have occurred in November of 2018, when former Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins assistant coach Jarrod Skalde and his wife Erin shared a ride with head coach Clark Donatelli.
According to the allegations, the assault had taken place in two parts. The first occurred when Donatelli and Mrs. Skalde had entered a vehicle ahead of Jarrod. While Donatelli had Mrs Skalde separated from her husband, he placed his arm around her and had slipped his hand inside her shirt to touch her breasts, as she attempted to turn down his advances.
The second part of the assault had allegedly occurred after Jarrod was inside the vehicle following Donatelli's insistence that Skalde ride shotgun. During the second stage of the assault, Donatelli is said to have engaged in sexual touching both above and below Mrs. Skalde's belt, while she did her best to fight off his advances while trying not to draw attention to the situation.
It wasn't until later when Jarrod had learned of the alleged assault and brought it to the attention of Guerin - who he says had asked him to keep quiet about it while the team conducted its own investigation on the matter.
Not only did nothing ever come of the investigation, but Skalde was terminated from his position in 2019-20 due to what the team called "COVID-19 related cutbacks".
If true, this is absolutely despicable and reprehensible behavior by not only Donatelli, but also Guerin and the Pens organization.
