NHL announces first 32 players for the 2023 All-Star Game

On Thursday night, the National Hockey League announced the first 32 players (one per team) that will be participating at the 2023 All-Star Game in South Florida next month.

Let's take a look at those 32 players who will represent their respective teams at the 2023 All-Star Weekend.

Atlantic Division
Linus Ullmark (G) - Boston Bruins
Tage Thompson (F) - Buffalo Sabres
Dylan Larkin (F) - Detroit Red Wings
Matthew Tkachuk (F) - Florida Panthers
Nick Suzuki (F) - Montreal Canadiens
Brady Tkachuk (F) - Ottawa Senators
Nikita Kucherov (F) - Tampa Bay Lightning
Mitch Marner (F) - Toronto Maple Leafs

Metropolitan Division
Andrei Svechnikov (F) - Carolina Hurricanes
Johnny Gaudreau (F) - Columbus Blue Jackets
Jack Hughes (F) - New Jersey Devils
Brock Nelson (F) - New York Islanders
Igor Shesterkin (G) - New York Rangers

The final 12 players (three per division) will be determined by a fan vote on NHL.com. Fans will also be able to vote on Twitter by tweeting a players name or their account handle, along with the NHL's official All-Star hashtag to cast their vote. The Twitter part of the voting process is expected to begin at a later date. Fan voting gets underway tonight on the league's website at 9 p.m. ET.

The 2023 NHL All-Star Weekend is set to get underway on Friday, February 4th with the skills competition, followed by the mini 3-on-3 tournament on Saturday, February 5th.
