Next nation up in my 2022 Olympic roster prediction series is Sweden, who will aim for their first gold medal since Turin 2006.

Sweden will be in Group C along with their arch-rivals, Finland, and two teams from the Olympic Qualifying round. The qualifying teams will be two of the twelve teams depending on their IIHF rank when they win the tournament. Those teams are Slovakia, Belarus, Austria, Poland, Latvia, France, Italy, Hungary, Norway, Denmark, South Korea, and Slovenia.

As mentioned in previous roster prediction posts, each nation will be allowed to have 22 skaters and three goaltenders. Most countries tend to go with 14 forwards and eight defencemen, so that's what I'm going to break it down into.

Forwards (14)

- Elias Pettersson (Vancouver Canucks)
- Mika Zibanejad (New York Rangers)
- Gabriel Landeskog (Colorado Avalanche)
- William Nylander (Toronto Maple Leafs)
- Filip Forsberg (Nashville Predators)
- Nicklas Backstrom (Washington Capitals)
- William Karlsson (Vegas Golden Knights)
- Rickard Rakell (Anaheim Ducks)
- Elias Lindholm (Calgary Flames)
- Jakob Silfverberg (Anaheim Ducks)
- Gustav Nyquist (Columbus Blue Jackets)
- Alexander Holtz (New Jersey Devils)
- Viktor Arvidsson (Los Angeles Kings)
- Lucas Raymond (Detroit Red Wings)

Defencemen (8)

- Victor Hedman (Tampa Bay Lightning)
- Erik Karlsson (San Jose Sharks)
- Rasmus Dahlin (Buffalo Sabres)
- Oliver Ekman-Larsson (Vancouver Canucks)
- John Klingberg (Dallas Stars)
- Rasmus Andersson (Calgary Flames)
- Mattias Ekholm (Nashville Predators)
- Jonas Brodin (Minnesota Wild)

Goaltenders (3)

- Robin Lehner (Vegas Golden Knights)
- Jacob Markstrom (Calgary Flames)
- Linus Ullmark (Boston Bruins)
