Adam Fantilli Fined By The NHL Before His First NHL Game

Adam Fantilli has broken a new NHL rule just ahead of his first NHL game resulting in a hefty fine.

Adam Fantilli went out for his rookie lap in the Blue Jackets' first game of the season and did so without a helmet, similar to Connor Bedard.

New NHL players are required to wear a helmet warm-up skate and if they fail to do so, even for a rookie lap, they will be fined $2,500.

The 2023 third overall pick is following in the footsteps of the 2023 1st overall pick Connor Bedard who made headlines for doing the same.

It is likely that their teams are paying the fines for them but it does not make the NHL's rules for this even less silly.
