MAJOR: Pro Hockey Player Mysteriously Suspended
The Norfolk Admirals of the ECHL have just announced that 24 year old forward, Gueorgui Feduolov, has just been suspended and removed from the training camp roster ahead of the upcoming ECHL season.
Mysterious suspension without any expanation
Feduolov, an American forward, is coming off his first partial season of professional hockey. He played for Norfolk during the 2022-23 season where he managed to put up 2 assists in 11 regular season games. He turned professional after playing four seasons in the NCAA for Mercyhurst University.
The Admirals announced their training camp roster with Feduolov's name removed and there has yet to be any announcement, as to why he is no longer part of the roster, despite playing for them last season.
Norfolk Admirals are now affiliated with the Winnipeg Jets
The Norfolk Admirals made news this offseason, as it was announced that they will become affiliated with the Winnipeg Jets organization as the ECHL club. The Winnipeg Jets organization also consists of the Manitoba Moose at the AHL level.
Based on the production and prior experience that Feduolov has, he can expect to become an ECHL level player, but is a long-shot to succeed at higher levels in North America. It will be interesting to see what Feduolov has done to get suspended and the news will surely come out eventually.
