French Hockey player Paul Schmitt has retired at age 20. The Forward had played internationally for France at the 2023 World Juniors Divison 1A, where France played 3rd in the tournament, the second highest form of U20 International Hockey.
Schmitt will leave professional Hockey to pursue a career as a physiotherapist. Schmitt had 5 Points in 35 Games in the French men's league this past season for Cergy-Pontoise, once seen as a quality offensive player in the French youth ranks. Schmitt also had a goal and 3 points in 5 Games for France in 22-23 at the WJC D1A, where he led in faceoff percentage.
