The Devils have started off their offseason with a bang by extending a top forward to a massive contract.
Devils Extend Star
Jesper Bratt has been an integral member of the New Jersey Devils top six for a couple of years now. Last offseason, he refused to sign a long term extension and that gamble has paid off.
After posting 32 goals and 73 points in 82 games, Bratt was due for a raise and he got one.

A $63 million contract is huge and will have him solidified in the Devils top 6 till the 2030s alongside other young stars like Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier. The Devils now need to extend Timo Meier but after that, their biggest offseason deals should be complete.
