Alex Pietrangelo has shared news about his potential retirement after the Golden Knight's Stanley Cup victory.
Heart-Wrenching Story On Pietraneglo's Retirement
Alex Pietrangelo has been the best defenseman in Vegas Golden Knight history. While he is still performing at the top of his game, he was considering retirement just six months ago.
Pietrangelo's daughter, Evelyn, suffered a brain lesion six months ago and was unable to walk or talk. Due to his daughter's condition, Pietrangelo considered retiring. This is completely understandable from Pietrangelo's perspective and the scare he and his family must have been feeling is heart breaking.
"Six months ago, she couldn't eat, she couldn't talk, she couldn't walk. Six months ago, I was ready to give up my career for her." - Alex Pietrangelo
Thankfully, Evelyn was able to pull through and she was on the ice for the Golden Knights cup celebration last night.
