Joseph Woll says he didn't find out about big trade until Saturday morning: 'What happened to our lines?'
If you went to bed early on Friday night, you may have missed the big trade between the Toronto Maple Leafs and St. Louis Blues, or if you're Joseph Woll, you missed it because you don't have social media.
Following Saturday's game against the Montreal Canadiens, Maple Leafs goaltender said he didn't learn about the trade until Saturday morning when he showed up at the rink and was shocked to see that happened to the the lines.
The Maple Leafs' two new acquisitions, Ryan O'Reilly and Noel Acciari, played quite well against the Canadiens on Saturday, O'Reilly had an assist, went 86% in the faceoff circle and logged 16:12 TOI. As for Acciari, he had five shots on goal, five hits in 14:22 TOI.
For his part, Joseph Woll stood tall, making 29 saves on 30 shots to earn his first career win at Scotiabank Arena.
