It's not often you see a former NHLer suit up in Ligue Magnus, the top division of hockey in France. While it's not considered one of the top leagues in Europe, it still has produced a handful of players that have gone on to play in the NHL including Cristobal Huet and Alexandre Texier. The winner of the Ligue Magnus playoffs even goes on to play in the Champions Hockey League, which is a big honour.

On Saturday, Bruleurs De Loups, who currently sit first in Ligue Magnus, announced that they've signed Former NHLer and 2018 Olympic bronze medalist Quinton Howden to a contract for the remainder of the 2022-23 season.

Howden, 30, started the season with Jukurit in Finland on a tryout contract, but was released in December and signed with Orebro HK for the 2022 Spengler Cup. Upon the conclusion of the Spengler Cup, Howden was released and became a free agent.

In ten games with Jukurit this season, the Winnipeg native had one assist, ten penalty minutes and was a minus-three. Meanwhile, in four games at the Spengler Cup, Howden recorded two assists.
