Patrick Bordeleau, who played 129 games in the NHL from 2012 to 2015, has been sentenced to five months in prison as well as 160 hours of community service after being found guilty of fraud, criminal harassment and breach of conditions.

According to a report by RDS, the charges and subsequent sentence stem from Bordeleau defrauding his former step-father of $63,000. Since he's already served 48 days in prison, he will have to spend 102 days behind bars. In addition, he will undergo a three-year probation period.

Bordeleau, 33, was a fourth round pick, 114th overall, of the Minnesota Wild in 2004. All of his games in the NHL, however, were played with the Colorado Avalanche. Throughout his 129 NHL games, he recorded eight goals and eight assists while also receiving 185 PIM.

Bordeleau was playing this season with the Laval North Petroliers of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH), a low-level professional league based in Quebec, which is Bordeleau's home province.
