Montreal Canadiens General Manager Kent Hughes could be one of the busiest people in hockey over the next seven days. Players like Ben Chiarot, Artturi Lehkonen, Jeff Petry and Brett Kulak have all garnered various levels of interest from teams around the league.

But could Montreal still add a piece leading up to March 21st by bringing in someone who could fill an organizational need for the future? Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman believes that could be the case.

While on The Jeff Marek Show, Friedman mentioned that the Montreal Canadiens are in on New Jersey Devils centerman Pavel Zacha.

Jeff Marek said that given Montreal's lack of center depth, Pavel Zacha would make sense, which led Elliotte Friedman to say, "I do think so too, I think that Montreal is one of the teams in on him, for sure."

Zacha, 24, was taken with the sixth overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. In 55 games this season, he's recorded 28 points (13 G, 15 A), 14 penalty minutes and is a -17. The Brno (Czech Republic) native will become a restricted free agent this summer.
