Trade Alert: Avalanche acquire defenceman Josh Manson from Anaheim
The National Hockey League's trade deadline is only one week away and one of the names on the lists of many insiders has been moved.
According to Kevin Weekes of ESPN, the Colorado Avalanche have acquired defenceman Josh Manson from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for prospect Drew Helleson and a draft pick in 2023.
TSN's Pierre LeBrun later updated that report to state it's a 2nd round pick on 2023. It's also been noted that Anaheim is retaining 50 percent of Manson's cap hit.
Manson, 30, has appeared in 45 games this season for the Ducks where he's tallied nine points (four goals, five assists), 53 penalty minutes and has an even rating.
The Hinsdale (Illinois) native is set to become an unrestricted free agent in July.
