Don't expect Tarasenko to be in Seattle for too long

Earlier this month, Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko requested a trade from the team and on Saturday it was revealed that St. Louis left the Russian sniper off their protection list for the Seattle Kraken Expansion Draft.

An elite sniper like Tarasenko doesn't become available for free very often, and there's a very good chance that the Kraken select him on Wednesday night. But he might not be in Seattle for too long. According to Andy Strickland of Bally Sports Midwest, if the Kraken take Tarasenko it will reportedly not be his final destination, meaning that he will be flipped to another team as early as this weekend's NHL Entry Draft.

Tarasenko, 29, missed the majority of the 2020-21 season after having his third shoulder surgery in September. In 24 games this season, the Yaroslavl, Russia native had 14 points (4 G, 10 A), 0 penalty minutes and was a -7.

If Seattle takes Tarasenko and decides to flip him, there certainly won't be a shortage of teams lining up to acquire the five-time 30-goal scorer.
