Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman has guaranteed that his team will walk away from game 7 of their series against the Toronto Maple Leafs with a victory
Regardless of the outcome, tonight's game 7 between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins is massive one for both teams. Advancing to the second round of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs is not the only thing on the line. The Bruins blew a 3-1 series lead in the first round of last year's playoffs, and certainly don't want to to it again. The Maple Leafs are looking to break a streak of losing to the Bruins in the postseason. One of the goaltenders involved in tonight's game has guaranteed his team will be victorious.
Swayman recently revealed that he truly thought he would be drafted by the Maple Leafs in 2017 are a meeting with team management. Instead, the Leafs took netminder Ian Scott with the 110th overall pick, while Boston took Swayman at 111th. Swayman said that has served as motivation for his play so far in the series while saying the Bruins will definitely win game 7.

There has been some talk of the Boston Bruins returning to Linus Ullmark for game 7 tonight. Personally, I think that would be silly. While the Bruins failed to close out the series the past two games, Swayman was excellent in both, and has an incredible .947 save percentage in round 1 so far.
