Almost two months to the day after all 43 members of the Swedish Women's National Ice Hockey Team boycotted the club's training camp comes word an agreement has been reached with the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.

"For us players we have always said that there is nothing greater than playing on our national team. It feels like we have taken important steps in the discussions and that we have now been given better conditions for playing in the Women's Tournaments. Now we want nothing more than to look ahead with the [team] captain Ylva Martinsen and the other leaders in the Women's Crown and finally start the journey towards revenge after last year. We will play in the A-World Cup next year," says national team forward Fanny Rask .

At the time of the strike, the Women's Team stated "many of us have carried the frustration that has led to today's decision for several years. Now it is about the younger generation to avoid doing so. Today, we have jointly chosen to reject the finest and most prestigious assignment we can imagine. From today, none of us will represent (the national team) before the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation's leadership shows that they want to work together with us players to develop and create better conditions for us in the current squad – and for the (players) in the future.”

The Women's Team claimed they received supplements that are past their “best used by date”, men's clothes instead of women's clothes, inadequate travel accommodations, and, according to reports, no daily stipends.

The boycott led to Sweden not participating in the Five Nations Cup Tournament, a major women's ice hockey tournament in Europe.

"It feels really good that we can finally get started on our national team season. We can now, with good conditions, place full focus on the sports league and do everything we can to play a good ice hockey and of course to regain our place in the World Cup's highest division next year," said team captain Ylva Martinsen.
