Former Red Wing and Ranger blueliner Ryan Sproul is headed to the KHL. The 26-year-old has signed a one-year deal with Kunlun Red Star based in China. Sproul, drafted in 2011, has played 44 games in the NHL and as 12 total points.

Monday's game against Edmonton marked the 500th consecutive sellout for the Chicago Blackhawks. That includes a stretch of regular season and playoff games.

Minnesota Wild forward Mats Zuccarello expected to miss at least two more games, ruling out an appearance in Toronto tonight and Thursday in Montreal.

Edmonton's James Neal scored his eighth goal of the season Monday, meaning he has surpassed his total of seven for all of last season in Calgary in just six games.

With two points in Monday's game, Alex Ovechkin has recorded 1,218 career points, and he passed Larry Murphy (1,217) for the 43rd most points in NHL history, and he's now two points shy of passing Jean Beliveau (1,219) for the 42nd most points in NHL history.

The injury woes continue to cripple the Pens. Despite enjoying a current 3-game winning streak, the Penguins are really feeling the heat when it comes to injuries. After missing practice this morning, it has now been confirmed that Jared McCann is dealing with a lower-body injury and is considered day-to-day.

Greg Wyshynski of ESPN suspects there are at least a few players from the St. Louis Blues who were not comfortable visiting the White House on Tuesday, but says none of them would ever bring it up publicly.

Congratulations to Calgary Flames forward, Michael Frolik, who will suit up for the 800th time in his NHL career this evening. Frolik has 370 points in 799 career NHL games.
