Ovi vents frustration with a huge hit on Girard
Nothing went the Washington Capitals' way Monday as the team took a 6-3 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. The Avs remain the only unbeaten team in the NHL now, with a perfect 5-0-0 record. With just under six minutes left in the 2nd period, and the Caps already down 4-1, Alexander Ovechkin decided to let off some frustration with a huge, clean hit on Samuel Girard behind Colorado's net. While he seemed a bit dazed for a second, Girard did get right back into the play and completed the game. You can see the hit below:
