The Winnipeg Jets are in New York to take on the Islanders on Sunday, but they will remain without the services of Bryan Little, who remains on the sidelines, as he continues to recover from a concussion suffered one week ago.

Paul Maurice has confirmed that Little has resumed skating with the team, however, he has ruled the Edmonton, Alberta native out for Sunday's game against the Isles and added that it's unlikely that Little suits up Tuesday in Pittsburgh as well.

The Jets hold a 1-1-0 record to start the season, but an extended absence for the team's 2nd line centre could lead to the Jets experiencing a much slower start than expected. Given how important it is to be inside of the playoff picture by Christmas time, the Jets are, no doubt, hoping that the 31-year-old returns sooner, rather than later.
