Russian Olympic Committee unveils jerseys for 2022 Winter Games

The Russian Olympic Committee, the gold medalists in 2018, unveiled their uniforms for the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing, China on Sunday morning via the IIHF's Twitter account. It's safe to say they might be the most plain jersey's released as of yet.

A bit of background before going through what the uniforms look like. You may have noticed the name "Russian Olympic Committee" in the title. For a second consecutive Winter Olympics, and third Olympics in general, the Russian flag is not allowed to be flow, nor can their anthem be played due to doping sanctions implemented by the International Olympic Committee.

Now to the uniforms. ROC's designated home uniform is likely the most plain out of the twelve participating team's at the upcoming Winter Olympics. The jersey is all white, with grayish shoulders that has a diamond-like pattern. ROC's logo is on the front of the jersey and the numbering/lettering is red.

As for the designated away jersey, the primary colour that is featured is red and it has the diamond-like pattern on it's shoulders like the home uniform, but it's much harder to see. The numbering and lettering on the uniform is white.

ROC's Women's team will be the first to don these jerseys when they face Switzerland on February 4th. They'll also face the United States on February 5th, Canada on February 7th and will wrap up the group stage on February 8th against Finland.

The Men's team, likely to be captained by Alexander Ovechkin, will first wear these jerseys on February 9th vs Switzerland, followed by February 11th vs Denmark, and February 12th vs the Czech Republic.
