Both the Edmonton Oilers and Connor McDavid have gotten off to a scorching red hot start this season, which is as good or even better than they could have imagined.

For the Oilers, they are 4-0-0 on the year thanks to wins over the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Anaheim Ducks, and Arizona Coyotes. While that is impressive, it is nothing in compared to what McDavid has been able to do early on. The 24-year-old has had multi-point outings in all four games this season, three of which have been three point nights. With the great start, he has become the second player in franchise history alongside none other than Wayne Gretzky to begin a season with four multi-point outings.

McDavid looks primed for another great regular season in 2021-22, perhaps his greatest yet. Even better is that his Oilers team appears much improved thanks to some offseason acquisitions by general manager Ken Holland. Of course, it means nothing until they are able to have some postseason success, but right now this team looks very strong.
