With vaccination rates climbing and businesses gradually moving back towards (mostly) regular business, the province of British Columbia appears ready to do away with capacity limits for indoor events.

The BC government made the announcement on Tuesday, which is music to the ears of the Vancouver Canucks organization - the last remaining NHL franchise with attendance limits for games.

Obviously, these capacity limits being lifted is subject to change with the ever-evolving situation relating to COVID-19 and its variant strains, but nevertheless, it's encouraging to see progress of any kind.

As is the case in the other four provinces who are home to NHL franchises, fans will need to show photo identification and proof of vaccination to enter Rogers Arena and masks are still mandatory for all home games.

The Canucks could have their first capacity crowd of the season as of October 26th.
