The Montreal Canadiens took to the ice at their practice facility in Brossard, Quebec on Tuesday morning in preparation for tonight's game against the San Jose Sharks.
Montreal is off to a poor start to their 2021-22 campaign, going 0-3-0, with the three losses coming against Toronto, Buffalo, and the New York Rangers. The team has also only scored three goals in those three games, two of which came off the stick of
Jonathan Drouin. Their powerplay is also looking rough to start the season, going 0-11 so far.
In order to ignite the offence, head coach Dominique Ducharme has made a pair of lineup changes.
After missing all of training camp, pre-season games, and the first three games of the season, forward
Mike Hoffman will make his Montreal Canadiens debut. Hoffman signed a three-year contract worth $13.5 million ($4.5 million AAV) this past off-season.
Also making their debut on Tuesday will be forward
Adam Brooks. The 25-year-old was claimed off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs on October 11th.
Both Hoffman and Brooks were skating on the third line this morning, and will take the places of Mathieu Perreault and
Jake Evans.
Puck drop for tonight's game at the Bell Centre is set for 7pm ET on TSN2 and RDS.
