By now, most everyone with the ear to the ground in the broader hockey community has heard about the lengthy suspension issued to San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane by the National Hockey League for willfully violating the league's COVID-19 protocols.

Shortly after the announcement, the Sharks winger issued an apology to his teammates, the Sharks organization and his fans for his actions, and committed himself to doing better in the future.

The Sharks organization has also addressed the situation, issuing a formal statement if its own, applauding Kanes commitment to seek counseling, but expressing its disappointment in his actions.

While the organization has stated that it will make no further comment until Kane's 21-game suspension is complete, I feel as though this is not the last we'll hear of Kane in the coming days.
