The Columbus Blue Jackets announced that forward Max Domi has been placed on injured reserve and will miss two-to-four weeks with a rib fracture.

Domi, 26, wasn't even expected to start the 2021-22 season after he underwent off-season shoulder surgery that put him on track to return in November or December. In two games this season, Domi has four points (one goal, three assists), and is a plus-four.

With Domi out of the lineup for the foreseeable future, Blue Jackets top prospect Yegor Chinakhov was recalled from the American Hockey League's Cleveland Monsters. Chinakhov skated in Domi's spot at practice on Monday morning and will likely make his NHL debut tomorrow night in Detroit.
