A successful college goalie will now get the opportunity to pursue his dream of playing in the NHL. He joins an impressive crop of goalies signed by the Florida Panthers headlined by Sergei Bobrovsky and Spencer Knight.

With this signing, it could be an indication that Spencer Knight is ready to resume his career in the NHL. This season he spent the entire season in the AHL and had an impressive statline of 2.42 goals against average and a 0.905 save percentage.

Now that Cooper Black has signed he likely will report to Charlotte in the AHL to get a taste of professional hockey for the rest of the season.
