Trent Frederic of the Boston Bruin is still in his first full season in the NHL, but is quickly making a name for himself. Frederic is a pest (and I mean that in the nicest way possible) who has no issue dropping the gloves with any opponent at any time.

In the game between the Bruins and Washington Capitals Wednesday night, Frederic had been hounding Alexander Ovechkin for a while, attempting to throw him off his game. At one point, following a fall into the end boards, Ovechkin got up and started shoving Frederic, which led to Frederic dropping his gloves for a fight. Ovechkin was not interested in getting into it and quickly told the youngster to get out of his face. That was followed by some jaw-jacking between the two on the bench after the play had stopped.

The situation didn't end there, though. With about five minutes left in the third and the game tied at 1, Ovi had apparently had enough of Frederic's actions, and decided to give him a good spear to the groin. Ovechkin got away with it, too as there was no call on the play.

I guess you could say Ovechkin would get the last laugh as the Caps won the game 2-1 in shootout. Ovechkin was named First Star of the game, despite being pointless.
