Very little went right for the Edmonton Oilers in the team three-game series against the Toronto Maple Leafs. After being shut out in the first two games, the Oilers managed just one goal in the third, losing 6-1. Apparently, that put Edmonton star forward Leon Draisaitl in a surly mood and he let it be known in a post-game interview.

A reporter asked Draisaitl how he felt about the performance of Edmonton's top players, saying they didn't hold up their end of the bargain and adding it must be frustrating. Draisaitl chose a very short and sarcastic response.

"No, we love that," said Draisaitl. "We love going without a point in three days, for sure. It's great."

Edmonton's only goal of the three game skid was scored by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, with an assist from Draisaitl and Kris Russell. The losses are likely especially frustrating given the fact that Edmonton had been rolling coming into the series, winning their previous five games in a row.

The Oilers now sit third in the North Division, one point behind the Winnipeg Jets, who have played three fewer games. Toronto is well out in front, nine points ahead of Winnipeg.
