Arizona Coyotes defenceman Alex Goligoski could be on his way out of the desert. On Tuesday's edition of Insider Trading on TSN, Frank Seravalli indicated that the 35-year-old could be on the move ahead of NHL's trade deadline on April 12th.

"Mikael Granlund was No. 6 on the TSN Trade Bait Board that debuted on Monday, but I have a new name to add to the mix. That would be Alex Goligoski, the defenceman from the Arizona Coyotes who has been playing top-pair minutes, the pending unrestricted free agent, there has been no negotiations on a contract extension. He is an interesting guy because of the minutes he logs, but also because he is a left-shooting defenceman, but likes – and is comfortable with – playing on the right side. So he could be another name added to the mix when we do the Trade Bait Board."

Goligoski is in his fifth season with the Arizona Coyotes, and the final year of his contract which he signed with the club back in June 2016. It appears the Coyotes are wanting to go in a different direction and focus on their youth, rather than bringing back the aging defenceman. The Grand Rapids, Michigan is still playing a vital role on the backend for Arizona, logging an average 22:13 of time on ice per game this season.

In 21 games this season, Goligoski has 1 point (1 A), 4 penalty minutes, and is a -2.
