Sammy Blais of the St. Louis Blues will be sitting for the next couple of games for what the NHL's Department of Player Safety has deemed an illegal check to the head of Devon Toews of the Colorado Avalanche. Blais got two games for what DoPS called a hit that made the head the main point of contact, which could have been avoided. You can watch the full video below or just watch the hit itself below that.

The Blues' next game is once again against Colorado Friday night, and then a matchup against San Jose on Saturday. Blais will not play in either. Toews was taken to the dressing room for a while but did return and finished the game.
