Tragic Update on the Olympian Who Was Paralyzed on the Ice

As much as we all love it, hockey can be a very cruel sport sometimes, and this is a perfect example

Sanni Hakala, who won two bronze medals with the Finnish Women's Hockey team at the Olympics in 2018 and 2022, has made her first public statement since crashing head first into a goal post during a game in Sweden. The news is not good. Hakala said it's still hard to understand how something so seemingly minor turned into something so big.

Despite the shock and sadness she must be feeling, the 26 year old Hakala seems determined to stay positive.
