Some tough news for Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand as his team starts to cool off from a hot start.
Coach Montgomery Demotes Marchand in Boston
While Boston remains atop the Atlantic division due to an excellent start to the season, the Bruins have lost four of their last five. This has led to head coach Jim Montgomery making some major changes in his lineup, including demoting the team' captain to the third line. Marchand hasn't put a point in the board in his last four games, something unusual for him.
Some are suggesting Marchand looks a bit lost on the ice with Patrice Bergeron being there. The two played together for years, until Bergeron decided to retire before this season started. It's an interesting theory, but Marchand had put up 7 goals and 19 points in 17 games before being hit by the slump.

In practice Wednesday, Montgomery went with he following lines, dropping Marchand to the third, and giving his usual spot on the first to Jake Debrusk.
