Brown and Mermis Placed on Waiver Wire Today

According to Elliotte Friedman, both Patrick Brown and Dakota Mermis have been placed on the waiver wire today. Brown has played 6 games with the Bruins so far this season, while Mermis has played 13 games for the Wild.





Brown, having yet to record a point or solidify his place on the Bruins roster, makes sense to have been placed on waivers. Mermis, on the other hand, is interesting. The defenseman has played 13 games for the Wild this year and has recorded 2 goals and 3 assists, with a minus-1 rating.

We will see if Mermis clears waivers, or if a team desperate for a defenseman will take a shot on him.
