It's understandable if members of the Edmonton Oilers are frustrated. There's no need for this, though.

Draisaitl Cross-checks Horvat in the Legs

The Oilers Leon Draisaitl is taking plenty of criticism on social media today following a cross-check to Bo Horvat of the New York Islanders last night. This was no ordinary cross-check, as Draisaitl was aiming for, and hit Horvat's legs with a move that was obviously intentional.

Draisaitl was given a two minute minor for tripping on the play. That doesn't seem like much considering how dangerous and unnecessary the move was.

On a lighter note, the Oilers beat the Islanders 4-1 to give new head coach Kris Knoblauch the win in his debut. Draisaitl was named the first star of the game after scoring a goal and getting three assists.
