Rumor: William Nylander Could be on his way to a Rival Team
Toronto has struggled a bit as of late, but Nylander is still showing that he can produce, with at least one point in each of the Toronto games this season.
Is Chicago his next stop?
The 27 year old is coming to the end of his six year deal in Toronto. And the speculations have started as to where his next destination may be.
ESPN's John Buccigross has made his desires for Nylander to sign with the Chicago Blackhawks known over the weekend.
Seeing Nylander suit up alongside Connor McDavid would give Chicago that added protection to their young star. Nylander is an unrestricted free agent after this year and will be a top sought after talent.
Nylander signed his 6-year, $29 million deal before the 2018-19 season. He has been with the Maple Leafs for all nine years of his career.
