Connor McDavid would give Chicago that added protection to their young star. Nylander is an unrestricted free agent after this year and will be a top sought after talent.
Nylander signed his 6-year, $29 million deal before the 2018-19 season. He has been with the Maple Leafs for all nine years of his career.
