Just In: The Frustration is apparent with Captain Connor McDavid at Practice
Can the Oilers overcome the slow start to the Season
This 2023-24 campaign did not start off as planned for the Edmonton Oilers. In addition to a 3-9-1 start to the season, the early season coaching change was thought to have taken a toil on the players. That has now become apparent after practice.
McDavid does not hide any of his frustrations
Once the coaching change new broke in the league and with the players, many were surprised and shocked. McDavid, showing his frustrations after during and after practice Monday morning.
The narrative being that McDavid had input in that decision.
Trying to work with a new coaching is difficult, especially after having a slow start to the season. If the reports from practice are true, this could be the start to an even worse season for Edmonton.
Kris Knoblaugh will make his debut behind the bench Monday night as the Oilers host the New York Islanders.
