Alex Ovechkin welcomed Erik Karlsson to the Penguins and Capitals' rivalry with a massive hit!

In the middle of the second period of tonight's game between the Penguins and the Capitals, Alex Ovechkin tried to get his team fired up with this massive hit on Erik Karlsson.

Thankfully both players were no worse for wear and they were able to continue playing.

Karlsson was playing in his second game as a Penguin after being traded from the Sharks to the Penguins in a massive three-team trade last offseason.
