BREAKING: Starting Goalie Placed on Waivers

A former NHL starting goalie has hit waivers after struggling with his health.

Today there were many players placed on waivers including many former first-round draft picks and a starting goalie.

The Seattle Kraken have placed Chris Driedger on waivers with the intention of sending him to the Coachella Valley Firebirds of the AHL.

Driedger, when healthy, is a starting goaltender in the NHL but he has struggled with his health ever since being selected by the Seattle Kraken in the expansion draft. He is paid like a starter as well being paid $4.5 million this upcoming season.

Hopefully for Seattle, Driedger can prove he is back to his old self and end up coming back up and emerge as the Kraken's starter.
