Kyle Davidson Confirms Whether Bedard Will be Captain
The Blackhawks' general manager, Kyle Davidson, announced that there will be no captain in Chicago this season.

"Kyle Davidson said they won't have a captain this season."
There Will Be No Captain in Chicago This Year
Not naming a captain can hurt a team in the short term. In this case, they decided to wait because the obvious candidate,
Connor Bedard, is a rookie.
Promoting a player with no NHL experience to the role of Captain is a bit premature.
But this decision indicates that they're probably going to wait for Bedard and that he will be named captain.
In the meantime, they still have great leaders on their team, including
Corey Perry,
Taylor Hall,
Nick Foligno, and
Seth Jones.
