The Boston Bruins summer was one of major turnover, as the team traded away
Taylor Hall while losing both David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron to retirement, and now, they're tasked with replacing them.
Rumour mill running wild
Since those announcements, the Bruins have been atop the rumour mill for months now, with links to the likes of
Mark Scheifele,
Elias Lindholm,
Elias Pettersson and seemingly every center available for trade, and now, we can add another to the list.
Thus far, the Bruins have yet to go deep into discussions with any team, but with less than a month until the season begins, the latest link has been revealed, and it could be the best one yet.
A star with untapped potential
Unlike Boston, the Kings have been full of change this summer, adding
Pierre-Luc Dubois and
Kevin Fiala down the middle, and now, it's raised the idea of trading former No. 2 overall pick
Quinton Byfield, with NHL Trade Rumors making the link, with this suggested mock trade.
Byfield is yet to make a significant mark at the NHL level, and perhaps a change of scenery alongside
David Pastrnak and
Brad Marchand could be the best option for his career going forward, so keep an eye on this one as the season approaches.
