Jonathan Quick is arguably the best American born goaltender in NHL history. Having won three Stanley Cups, and a Conn Smyth, he is now ready to start a new chapter of his career with his childhood favorite team.
The Rangers have Igor Shesterkin as their starting goalie but it looks like Quick will come in as a backup.
The contract details are currently unknown but we can assume it is a cheap contract and it is likely Quick took a discount to play for the Rangers. He will provide valuable experience to a Rangers team looking at winning a Stanley Cup.
