The Red Wings have bought out a newly acquired young forward who has promising upside.

Yesterday, the Detroit Red Wings acquired Kailer Yamamoto and Klim Kostin. One day later, they have bought out half of the package.

NHL insider Darren Dreger announced that the Red Wings will be buying out Yamamoto.

He is coming off a 25 point season plagued with injuries. He will likely get a prove it contract with a team that can offer him a top role.
