Hockey players are another breed of tough, especially in the playoffs. However, there is one injury that stands above the rest - anything to do with the eyes.
Mahura Takes a Puck to the Eye
The odds of this happening, especially from such long distance, is pretty crazy. Off a shot by William Nylander that missed the net, the puck sailed directly into Josh Mahura's eye.
-
Mahura left the ice immediately, and we are waiting for an update on his status. Morgan Barron notably took a skate blade right near the eye in round 1 and returned after a few minutes.
-
Once again, playoffs are truly a different beast, and players will persevere through anything.
