Referees in every sport deserve much more respect.
Pretty much everywhere, officials receive far more abuse than praise. That's just the way the cookie crumbles with that specific occupation, but these folks deserve more credit than they get, no doubt about it.
Senior League hockey refs in Saskatchewan might be in a class of their own, though. During a recent Langenburg Warriors' game, one ref in particular took matters into his own hands when a big-time collision knocked the entry door off its mount.
Normally, that sort of thing means one thing: Game Over. Not when this beauty is on-site:
