The Washington Capitals announced on Saturday that forward Sonny Milano is sticking around the three more years. The two sides agreed on a one-year contract in free agency this summer.
Three years, $5.7 million.

Milano's NHL dreams were jeopardized this summer when Calgary signed and released the forward from a professional tryout agreement after the Anaheim Ducks made it clear they weren't re-signing him.
With 22 points in 40 games for the Caps, their partnership has proved fruitful for both parties. Now, the team nets a quality player on a healthy cap-hit while the player is afforded peace of mind in the money department; and a great fit on a good team.
