Brad Marchand can't help himself when Toronto comes up, and Tuesday night the Florida Panthers winger fired another shot from an Instagram comment section.

A post shows offseason workout photos of several players, one shot showing William Nylander shirtless by a pool, dumbbells in hand.

The NHL's own account left a lighthearted comment about players putting in reps this summer. Marchand had a different idea.

Using his personal account, he replied: "Don't hurt yourself with all that weight willy."

He's taken shots at the Maple Leafs before, and clearly age hasn't slowed him down one bit.

Does Marchand even need a reason to poke at Toronto at this point? It's starting to feel like muscle memory.

The timing stings a little more this year. Marchand is dealing with a lower body injury that's expected to keep him out until at least October 10.

He still closed last season with 27 goals and 27 assists for 54 points across 52 games, adding six power play goals and three game winners.

Nylander is coming off a monster year himself. He posted 30 goals and 49 assists for 79 points in 65 games, numbers that keep his name in every Leafs conversation.

Toronto's offseason hasn't been quiet either. The Maple Leafs brought in Jim Hiller as head coach in June, replacing a staff that watched the team stumble to a seven game losing streak late last season.

Florida, for what it's worth, split the season series with Toronto right down the middle, two wins apiece, including a 6-2 road win back in April.

Instagram trolling is easy when your team already owns the tiebreaker. Taking shots at a division rival after a split season series is a little rich, and Marchand knows exactly what he's doing.

Watching him chirp at Toronto in the dead of August is like a comedian who can't put the mic down even after the show's over.

Florida finished 40-38-4 with 84 points, good enough to keep the Panthers in the conversation, while Toronto closed at 32-36-14 for 78 points.

Training camp is coming, and Marchand still isn't medically cleared. That timeline matters a lot more in South Florida than one Instagram jab at a Leafs forward's pool day.
