Best landing spots for Connor Bedard next season

5. Columbus Blue Jackets

The Jackets looked promising coming off a strong off-season, including the signing of Johnny Gaudreau to a massive contract, but the season has gone anything but planned. Columbus has Boone Jenner, Jack Roslovic, and Cole Sillinger down the middle, but none of them really have the top center potential like Bedard does. A line of Gaudreau-Bedard-Laine would be deadly for years to come and one that Jackets fans would die for.

4. Chicago Blackhawks

The Hawks are having another down season, and it seems that their franchise cornerstones Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane both have the opportunity to be traded at or before the deadline. This year's team was meant to tank from the beginning, and getting Bedard would jumpstart the interesting rebuild in Chicago. It would be wild to see Bedard and Kane together if he is not traded, but only time will tell.

3. Montreal Canadiens

The beginning of Montreal's season made it seem that they would be out of the Bedard sweepstakes, but after injury bugs and losing streaks, they are well in the running. The Habs are already loaded with young talent including Nick Suzuki, Kirby Dach, Cole Caufield, Kaiden Guhle, Arber Xhekaj, Jordan Harris, and Juraj Slafkovsky. Throw in Bedard, and you can pretty much guarantee some Cups in the future with the right development.

2. Vancouver Canucks

Even after trading Bo Horvat, the Canucks don't necessarily need a center, but no one is going to pass up on Bedard. The Canucks already have Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller down the middle, and adding Bedard would give them one of the best cores down the middle in recent memory. On top of that, Vancouver is known for their crazy fans, so Bedard would have one insane welcome.

1. San Jose Sharks

The Sharks seem to be committing to a rebuild with plenty of trade rumours surrounding the team. Timo Meier and Erik Karlsson have had plenty of circulation around the idea of new locations, and the Sharks may pull the trigger this time. San Jose has some talent down the middle with Logan Couture and Tomas Hertl, but Bedard would far and away be the superstar that the team desperately needs.
