Alexander Ovechkin shares all-time quote on retirement plans with Sidney Crosby
Alexander Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby have been the faces of the National Hockey League since they both began their illustrious careers back in the 2005-06 season.
The rivalry between Ovechkin and Crosby has certainly been played up over time, but it's given us some pretty great moments over the last 18 years including an outdoor game, intense Stanley Cup Playoff series' and even on the international stage, at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Ovechkin and Crosby will be playing on the same team this weekend for the NHL All-Star Game, as they represent the Metropolitan Division and even will team up during the Breakaway Challenge.
When speaking with reporters on Thursday, Ovechkin jokingly shared his plans for his retirement, which include his long time opponent, Sidney Crosby.
The pair have shown no signs of slowing down this season, as Ovechkin has put up 54 points in 52 games, while Crosby has 60 points in 49 games.
