Mikhail Sergachev of the Tampa Bay Lightning is $5000 lighter after his punch to the face of Conor Garland of the Vancouver Canucks. The fine was announced Friday following the Bolts 5-4 win over Vancouver on Thursday.

Garland commented on the incident Friday and told reporters that Sergachev waited for him after the game to make sure he was ok and to "explain the punch." Garland indicated it's not something he hasn't done himself in his career.
"It hurt at the time, but I was fine. I've played like a rat since I was 16, so I'm used to it," said Garland.
