The Tampa Bay Lightning announced on Monday that they've agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension worth $2.25 million ($1.125 million AAV) with rookie defenceman Nick Perbix.

Perbix, 24, was drafted by the Lightning in the sixth round in 2017 and turned pro in the spring of 2022 after four years at St. Cloud State. In early 2022, Perbix was named to the United States' roster for the Winter Olympics in China where he had one assist in four games.

The Elk River (Minnesota) native has appeared in 29 games this season for the Lightning, recording eight points (three goals, five assists), 14 penalty minutes and is a plus-eight.
